Children's creation of memory records

Sofi Barreau

This talk will discuss how COGENT has been used to model data obtained from a study of child event memory. The study suggests that under certain conditions recall of information from long term memory can interfere with integration of information into the current event record. I will present the model and discuss how it accounts for the subjects' performance in each of the experimental conditions. I will then go on to consider how variation of the parameters of certain crucial buffers within the model might be used to account for some of the variability in the data.
